Inside Sales Development Representative (SDR)

Introduction

Plandek is a fast growing and well-funded SaaS business based in London founded in 2016 by two experienced entrepreneurs Dan Lee (founder of Globrix and Artirix) and Charlie Ponsonby (founder of Simplifydigital which was sold to Dixons Carphone in 2016). 

Plandek (www.plandek.com) has developed a BI, analytics and reporting platform to give better visibility of the Agile software development process at scale (across multiple teams and projects) – you might think of it as Google Analytics for software development.

Plandek mines data sitting within commonly used delivery tools (e.g. Jira, Github etc.) to show actionable insights such as: bottlenecks in the process and real drivers of changes in team velocity – in order to improve productivity; forecast earlier and more accurately; and identify actions that can be taken to bring projects in on/ahead of time and budget.

Plandek is growing rapidly and is working with among others: Reed Elsevier, Worldpay, News Corporation and Secret Escapes.

Plandek is looking for an exceptional and highly self-motivated sales executive to join the inside sales department, reporting initially to the Chief Revenue Officer.

The Role and Responsibilities

The SDR will join the newly established Inside Sales team at Plandek.  As such there is excellent prospects for promotion and development as the team grows.  The team is focused on driving Plandek’s client base in the UK, Europe and the US. The SDR will be responsible for generating wholly new leads for Plandek using outbound calling, email and related Linked-in marketing.

Responsibilities therefore include:

Lead generation planning

  • Contributing to the initial establishment of the IS team – including helping establish the relevant databases to provide call and email leads

Lead generation – outbound calling and follow up:

  • Building the relevant database of companies and personas to target
  • Systematically outbound calling the target list following the agreed cadence to ensure follow up of calls, emails and related communication
  • Managing the lead generation process on Salesforce
  • Securing properly qualified meetings and product demos for the Sales team to pursue

Lead generation – email and related Linked-in prospecting

  • Under the guidance of CRO and using the sales collateral prepared in-house – systematically targeting new leads via email and Linked-in using the agreed cadence
  • Securing properly qualified meetings and product demos for the Sales team to pursue

Inside Sales team development

  • As one of the founder IS reps – active participation in defining the processes of the IS team
  • Contribution to the training of SDR new arrivals

Required experienced and competence profile

The successful candidate will be an exceptional SDR executive who is resourceful, self-motivated, outgoing, confident sales person with a proven record of academic achievement.It is helpful if they have knowledge of Agile software development, in order to sell the benefits of the Plandek tool.

Remuneration

Remuneration will be competitive with sales related bonus.
